My son, Sean, the Marine, is no longer a Marine...his 5 year contract is up as of today...he participated in both Iraq and Afghan...was sure that he would come back changed from Afghan since he is...was..in the infantry...but he is returning to us whole in body and mind and spirit!...we are so, so very blessed!!! thank you, God!!! thank you to all who prayed and sent thoughts his way!! ...words cannot express feelings!!...

Most definitely a huge sigh of relief and filled with gratitude that he finished his contract and got out alive and well! 5 years is a long time to 'hold your breath'.

ReplyDeleteYes, I did just exactly that, hold my breath, while he was in Iraq...when he later went to Afghan I just tried to trust...and wait...and we were blessed with his safe return...a gift! 5 years is a long time!!!...still so grateful!! thanks again!!
